Review :
For those who know the Mahabharata well, this is peak entertainment. Even if you don’t know the epic well, it’s still Engaging.
The series has 9 episodes, each around 22 minutes long excluding titles, intros and end credits.
The storytelling is non linear and the scene to scene transitions are excellent.
The story is narrated by Sanjaya who witnesses the great Kurukshetra war and brings a unique perspective to the narrative.
The animation is good and the visuals are great. But if you are an anime fan you might find some things lacking compared to traditional anime.
The series has some pacing issues but they are minor and don’t overshadow the good parts.
Cinematography, action and music are all top notch. The music director’s work adds to the emotional depth and the visual storytelling keeps you hooked.
Kudos to the writers, creators, research team and producers for bringing this epic story to life so well.
Overall : Binge-watching
